Snap real critters. Keep them as figurines.
SnapPetz turns everyday critter sightings into a playful real-world collection. Spot a cat, a dog, a curious backyard visitor — the app extrudes each one into a 3D figurine you can spin, share, and stash in your Dex. All on-device. All private.
How it works
From backyard critter to figurine in three taps.
No login. No upload. No waiting on a server. The whole loop happens between your camera and your Dex.
- STEP 01📸
Frame the critter
Point the camera. A live overlay draws a paw box around whatever animal walks into frame. Tap the big orange paw to lock the catch.
- STEP 02🧬
The phone does the work
Species head, silhouette segmenter, trait detector — all run on-device in under a second. No frames uploaded. Ever.
- STEP 03🗿
A new figurine
The silhouette gets extruded into a spinnable 3D keepsake. Drag to rotate, flick for momentum, drop it in your Dex.
What's inside
Every catch has a story.
Multi-species detection, trait-based rarity, segmentation-driven 3D figurines, and a collection layer built for daily streaks — without a single API call.
Spinnable figurines
Every catch becomes a turntable-ready, silhouette-extruded 3D figurine. Drag to spin. Flick for momentum.
A Dex of tiny quirks
Smiling. Mid-yawn. Wagging tail. Slow blink. Rare trait combos roll rarer figurines.
Streaks + medals
Six tiers from starter to streak. Land legendaries, keep the daily flame lit, wear the badges.
A living world map
GPS spawns tuned to biome. Wildlife near water. Farm animals up in the pastures. Neighborhood cats on the block.
Rarity tiers
Some catches are just luckier.
Privacy posture
Your photos never leave your phone.
No frames, no metadata, no telemetry. The whole detection pipeline lives between the lens and your Dex.
No photo ever uploaded
The camera roll stays yours. The cloud only ever sees opt-in gameplay metadata — never a frame, never a face.
No account required
Anonymous local profile by default. Sign in only if you want cross-device sync; every catch you already made stays yours either way.
The model rides along
Species, breed, and trait detection run on-device via a bundled TFLite pipeline. No server-side inference. No queue.
